Kingdoms in the Wild is an independent literary establishment focused on writers all across the globe. Since its launch in May 2017, KITW has committed itself to reflecting and celebrating the world's rich cultures through poetry, fiction, and in-depth conversations with writers.
After a hiatus in the wake of the pandemic, we are back and ready to celebrate 5 years of heartrending poetry, imaginative fiction & inspiring conversations!

N.L. Shompole was born in Kenya. She is a multi-platform artist whose written and photographic works have been featured in various print and online publications including Rust + Moth, Words Dance Publication, The Rising Phoenix Review, Maps for Teeth, Invitation Annual and Kinfolks Quarterly. In 2014 she was the recipient of a creative grant from Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the resulting works were shown in various galleries and festivals across the San Francisco Bay Area including the Home Away from Home Festival and the Joyce Gordon Gallery. She is also the author of a several poetry collections including the bestselling collection Lace Bone Beast: Poems & Other Fairytales for Wicked Girls. Dusty footed wanderer is mostly known as the podcast host of the Creepy Tech podcast that offers a deep dive into the darker sides of technology. Lydia has a love for traveling, reading, and all things tech. Her wide array of interests and her electrical engineering background allows her to bring a different perspective to the to the KITW team. “I like to think of the world as my oyster (not literally, well…) and find nothing more enjoyable than a good story; I don’t care if its poetry, fiction, or a buzz feed video, if it makes me laugh, I'm in.” Find out more about Lydia and her work here: WEBSITE

RHONY BHOPLA
Rhony Bhopla is a British Indo-American poet and visual artist. She is a member of the inaugural cohort of Rooted and Written⏤ a series of writing workshops taught by People of Color for People of Color. Her poems have appeared in Cosumnes River Journal, Medusa’s Kitchen, and Convergence, among others. The Crocker Art Museum featured The Indian Accent, a visual art piece that Rhony created in a class taught by artist and activist Milton Bowens. Rhony is studying poetry as a Mapmaker Scholar in the Pacific University Master in Fine Arts Program.
